Hoyte doubt for Boro

Middlesbrough defender Justin Hoyte is doubtful for tomorrow’s crucial Barclays Premier League clash against Portsmouth at the Riverside Stadium.

The former Arsenal player has been struggling with a groin injury since last week’s FA Cup loss to Everton.

His absence could create an opportunity for Tony McMahon or see Matthew Bates drop back from midfield into defence.
