Carvalho missing for Blues

Chelsea will again be without defender Ricardo Carvalho for tomorrow’s visit to Portsmouth.

Carvalho will, however, feature for the reserves against Aston Villa tonight as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury, along with Michael Essien, who is on the brink of full fitness after long-term knee ligament problems.
