Hull move for Finnan in doubt after failed medical

Hull City's move to sign Republic of Ireland defender Steve Finnan is reportedly in doubt after the 32-year-old failed a medical.

Finnan has been dogged by injury since leaving Liverpool to join Spanish side Espanyol five months ago.

Hull were expected to complete a deal for the player today, but reports in Britain say he has failed a medical.

Meanwhile, Hull have agreed a deal with Manchester United to take Angolan striker Manucho on loan until the end of the season.

He is the club's second arrival this month following the completion of a permanent deal for Republic of Ireland winger Kevin Kilbane yesterday.
