Lamb: Downing is going nowhere

Middlesbrough have angrily sought to bring to an end attempts by Tottenham to prise Stewart Downing from the club.

Chief executive Keith Lamb yesterday insisted the 24-year-old England winger will not be sold this month following speculation, earlier denied by the Teessiders, they had rejected a third offer amounting to £14.5m for Downing.
