The Brazilian also dropped midfielder Deco to the substitute’s bench at Stamford Bridge.

West Brom captain Jonathan Greening was passed fit after suffering a bout of double vision last time out against Manchester City, but playmaker and record signing Borja Valero had to be content with a place on the bench along with striker Roman Bednar.
