Allardyce was number one choice - Williams

Sam Allardyce was always the number one choice to replace Paul Ince as Blackburn manager, according to chairman John Williams.

The former Bolton boss yesterday signed a three-year contract a day after Ince was sacked and will be officially unveiled at a press conference later today.
