Trio return for Hammers

Gianfranco Zola welcomed striker Carlton Cole back from suspension and midfielders Valon Behrami and Jack Collison from injury as West Ham sought a first win in seven games, at home to Portsmouth – a side they had had not beaten in six previous Premier League attempts.

Lee Bowyer and Julien Faubert were relegated to the substitutes’ bench, and Luis Boa Morte was left out of the squad altogether.
