Owen set for subs role

Newcastle captain Michael Owen may have to make do with a seat on the bench for Sunday’s Barclays Premier League trip to Fulham.

The 28-year-old returned from a groin injury as a late substitute in the 2-0 victory over Aston Villa on Monday night, but interim boss Joe Kinnear is likely to stick with the 11 men who secured a second successive league win.
