Elmander out for Trotters

Under-fire Bolton manager Gary Megson is without misfiring striker Johan Elmander for today’s home clash against Premier League rivals Manchester City.

The club’s record signing from Toulouse is thought to have picked up a groin injury and is replaced in the starting line-up by midfielder Gavin McCann, available after serving a one-match suspension.

City boss Mark Hughes recalls Pablo Zabaleta after a three-match ban - he comes in at right-back to replace Nedum Onuoha while Ched Evans replaces Daniel Sturridge up front.
