Manchester City manager Mark Hughes is hoping Micah Richards will be fit for Sunday’s visit of Stoke.

The full-back suffered an ankle injury against Newcastle on Monday but there was no break and he could return to training today. Nedum Onuoha is set to deputise.

Martin Petrov, Michael Johnson and Valeri Bojinov all miss out through injury while Pablo Zabaleta serves the second of a three-match ban for his red card against Liverpool.
