FAI to investigate cancelled Wexford-Limerick 37 tie

The FAI is to investigate the circumstances surrounding last night's cancelled Eircom League First Division match between Wexford Youths and Limerick 37 at Ferrycarrig Park.

The game was called off after Limerick 37 players refused to play due to a dispute over warm-up facilities.

The club says the problem left the players without enough time to go through their full warm-up routine.

However, Wexford Youths manager Mick Wallace has claimed the Shannonsiders did not appear to want to play the game as two of their better players weren't included in the starting eleven.

The FAI is set to ask both clubs to provide a full report within the next three days.
