Boateng in contention for Hull

Midfielder George Boateng could return for Hull in Sunday’s Premier League clash with Everton at the KC Stadium.

The Dutchman, one of the club’s key summer signings, has not played since the season opener against Fulham due to a thigh injury but is now back in training and in contention.

Nick Barmby is hoping to shake off a calf problem to face his former club while Richard Garcia has overcome a virus.

Daniel Cousin, brought in on deadline day from Rangers, is set to make his debut after being suspended for last week’s defeat of Newcastle.

He would take the place of Craig Fagan, who could be out for up to three months with a broken leg following a horror tackle by Newcastle’s Danny Guthrie.
