Tambouras keeps Drogheda's Setanta Cup hopes alive

John Tambouras earned Drogheda a point to keep them on course to win Group 1 of the Setanta Sports Cup.

Darren Murphy scored for the second time in three days to put Cork in front two minutes before half-time.

Right-back Neal Horgan played the midfielder through on goal and Murphy drilled a shot past Drogheda debutant keeper Paul Skinner.

Drogheda levelled four minutes into the second half when Shaun Maher headed a Richie Baker corner off the bar and fellow central defender Tambouras shot home the rebound.

Drogheda dominated the remainder of the match but just couldn't get a winner.
