Spurs land youth 'keeper

Tottenham have reached an agreement with Perugia to sign Italian youth goalkeeper Mirko Ranieri.

The 16-year-old is expected to play in the academy team next season.

“Mirko is 6ft 2in and an excellent shot-stopper,” said Spurs sporting director Damien Comolli. “His distribution and decision-making is improving all the time.

“He is a highly-intelligent individual and another very good young goalkeeper we have attracted to the club.”
