Reports: Rob in, Ron out at Man Utd
Real Madrid winger Robinho claims he could be used as a makeweight in a deal to take Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo to Spain.
The Brazil international, who has also interested Chelsea, is keen to remain in Madrid but concedes he would have âno problem in leavingâ.
Robinhoâs remarks, reported by Portuguese newspaper A Bola, contradict numerous statements from United, who have repeatedly said they are not interested in trading Ronaldo.
The Spanish champions declined to comment on Robinhoâs claims.
The Brazilian said: âThere are proposals, yes.
âOne is from Manchester United which would be in exchange for Cristiano Ronaldo and the other is from Chelsea.â
Robinho played an important role in Madridâs Primera Liga title success last season â scoring 11 goals in 32 league games â but faces an uncertain future under Bernd Schuster.
He added: âI have never hidden my desire to remain at Real Madrid.
âBut if the negotiations materialise into something I will have no problem in leaving.â
Robinhoâs comments will increase speculation around Ronaldo, who revealed on Saturday he will make an announcement on his future in âtwo to three daysâ.
