Johnson a doubt for Toffees

Andrew Johnson is the main doubt ahead of Everton’s trip to Anfield for the Merseyside derby on Sunday.

Johnson sat out last weekend’s 1-1 draw at home to Fulham with a groin injury, while Australia midfielder Tim Cahill may miss the rest of the season after lasting just 10 minutes against the Cottagers before the recurrence of a metatarsal injury.

Steven Pienaar’s fitness will be assessed after illness but Victor Anichebe has shown no ill-effects after recovering from a hip injury to play last week.
