Return of 'The Untouchables' for Chelsea
Chelsea boss Avram Grant has named John Terry and Frank Lampard in his starting XI for the Carling Cup final against Tottenham at Wembley.
Terry was described by Grant recently as a âbionic manâ for his recovery from a foot injury, and the skipper is deemed fit enough to lead the side out.
Lampard has also been recovering from a long-term injury but he is included, with Michael Ballack the man to miss out.
Germany midfielder Ballack is on the bench with Joe Cole, but there is no place in the squad for troubled defender Ashley Cole, while forwards Nicolas Anelka and Didier Drogba both start.
Spurs skipper Ledley King starts, a month after he featured in the famous victory over Arsenal in his last appearance.
Didier Zokora is preferred to Tom Huddlestone in midfield, and Paul Robinson starts in goal as expected.
Tottenham: Robinson, Hutton, Woodgate, King, Chimbonda, Lennon, Jenas, Zokora, Malbranque, Berbatov, Keane.
Subs: Cerny, Kaboul, Tainio, Huddlestone, Bent.
Chelsea: Cech, Belletti, Carvalho, Terry, Bridge, Wright-Phillips, Essien, Lampard, Obi, Anelka, Drogba.
Subs: Cudicini, Joe Cole, Ballack, Kalou, Alex.
Referee: Mark Halsey.
