Daniel Cousin travelled with the rest of the Rangers party to Athens this afternoon ahead of Thursday’s UEFA Cup tie against Panathinaikos.

The striker is still waiting to learn whether FIFA will sanction his move to Fulham and was included in a strong squad that left Glasgow Airport today.

Cousin made a substitute appearance in the first leg, which ended goalless at Ibrox, and manager Walter Smith has yet to decide whether he will also be involved in the second leg of the last-32 tie at the Apostolos Nikolaidis Stadium.

Also included in the travelling squad were Thomas Buffel and Alan Gow, although both are unlikely to take part in the clash.

Steven Whittaker missed the trip with a hamstring injury, while a European ban meant Jean-Claude Darcheville also remained behind.
