Liverpool chief executive Ricky Parry insists the club “remain absolutely committed” to building a new 70,000-capacity stadium.

There had been suggestions the ongoing situation in the financial markets may impinge on plans for the new ground but Parry told the club’s website, www.liverpoolfc.tv, that plans are unaffected.
