Queiroz repsponds in Sporting row

Manchester United assistant boss Carlos Queiroz has vowed to defend himself against any formal accusation that he has unsettled Sporting Lisbon midfielder Miguel Veloso.

In a wide-ranging interview with the Portuguese press ahead of last month’s Champions League meeting between Manchester United and Sporting at Old Trafford, Queiroz spoke in glowing terms about a number of Portugal-based players, including Veloso.
