McClaren's trip to charity match a 'farce', says Butcher

Steve McClaren’s 5,000 mile trip to watch David Beckham play in a charity match was a farcical waste of the England manager’s time, according to former national captain Terry Butcher.

McClaren watched Beckham score two goals last night and make three more in Los Angeles Galaxy’s 12-4 win over a Hollywood United team featuring a number of former players and celebrities.
