Grant recalls big guns for trip to Wigan

Chelsea manager Avram Grant recalled his side’s big names for the Barclays Premier League visit to Wigan’s JJB Stadium.

Grant rang the changes for the Blues’ midweek Carling Cup victory over Leicester but restored a host of first-team regulars including Petr Cech, Ricardo Carvalho, Michael Essien and striker Didier Drogba.

England full-back Wayne Bridge was also named in the starting XI after injury and suspension, while Wigan made one change replacing Antoine Sibierski with the fit-again Michael Brown.
