Longford earn vital win

Dave Mooney scored his 16th goal of the season give bottom side Longford a vital win in their quest to avoid relegation.

Knowing they must win all three remaining games if they've any hope of surviving, Longford's attitude was right from the kick off and they deserved their 17th minute lead.

Bray defender Ronan Ivory tugged Dave Mooney to the ground as he tried to work a one-two with Dessie Baker and Cork referee Anthony Buttimer gave the penalty. Mooney confidently sent Steve Williams the wrong way from the spot for his 16th goal of the season.

Bray ran the second half and Paul Dunphy hit the bar while Shay Kelly made a brilliant save to deprive Stephen Fox as Town hung on for a huge win.
