Arteta agent says no contact from Madrid

Mikel Arteta’s agent Inaki Ibanez insists he has heard nothing from Real Madrid amid speculation of a possible swoop by the Spanish champions for the Everton midfielder.

Arteta has been an influential part of the Everton side for the last couple of seasons and according to media reports his performances have attracted the interest of a number of leading clubs, both in England and his homeland of Spain.
