Nine-man Leeds slip up
Nine-man Leeds had both their strikers dismissed as they dropped their first points of the Coca-Cola League One season in a 1-1 draw at Gillingham.
Seb Carole (28) put Dennis Wise’s men ahead but Tresor Kandol and Jermaine Beckford both saw red. Manager Wise was also sent to the stand.
Ian Cox then headed home from a corner to salvage a point for the struggling Gills in the last minute.
Despite their fine start to the campaign, Leeds still have just seven points after beginning with a 15-point deficit.
Leyton Orient maintained their position at the top of the table after a thrilling 3-2 win at Bristol Rovers.
