Myler hat-trick steers Rovers to win
Shamrock Rovers 4 Galway United 0
A brilliant hat-trick from Andy Myler kept Shamrock Rovers second in the table as they outplayed Galway at Tolka Park.
Rovers enjoyed the better of the first half and finally got their reward three minutes before the break.
Galway failed to deal with a corner and Myler chested the ball down before volleying to the net for his 12th goal of the season.
Myler was involved in the second goal on 66 minutes when playing a quick free kick to John Martin whose cross was turned home by Padraig Amond.
Myler got his second when sidefooting home Amond's cross on 88 minutes before completing his trio in the final minute from Galway's botched free kick - his ninth goal in five games.
