Gordon starts for Black Cats, Bent on bench for Spurs

Roy Keane marked his first match as a Barclays Premier League boss by handing a debut to Britain’s most expensive goalkeeper Craig Gordon against Tottenham at the Stadium of Light.

Keane’s new £9m man was joined by three other debutants in Dickson Etuhu, Paul McShane and Kieran Richardson while visiting boss Martin Jol stuck with a tried and tested formula.
