St Patrick's Athletic announce new board of directors

Richard Sadlier has been named on the new board of directors of St Patrick's Athletic FC.

The former Ireland international, who retired prematurely due to a chronic hip injury, will take his place immediately on the new board.

Sadlier also played for Milwall and won his only international cap playing against Russia in 2002.

Garrett Kelleher has been named chairman and the remaining board members include associates of the Kelleher and former board member, Phil Mooney.

'We have long-term ambitions for this football club which would establish it as a force in the European game,' said Kelleher.

'Following on the appointment of Brian Kerr as director of football, we can now set about making organisational change that will prepare us better for the realisation of the longer-term objective.'
