Sunderland expected to announce new signing

Premiership newcomers Sunderland are expected to announce their first summer signing with the capture of Reading defender Greg Halford.

It is understood that the 22-year-old full-back has signed for the Black Cats for a fee of £3.5m after undergoing a medical.
