Paddy Wallace injured his right knee in yesterday's game against Argentina and is rated as 50/50 to be available for next weeks second test in Buenos Aires.

Jeremy Staunton has been called into the squad as cover for Wallace and leaves the Ireland A squad that is taking part in the Churchill Cup immediately.

He is expected to join up with the squad by tomorrow (Monday 28th).

Other injury news from the Ireland camp is that Andrew Trimble and Tommy Bowe picked up knocks in the game.

Trimble turned his ankle and Bowe has a shoulder injury and both are rated doubtful for selection next weekend.

The Ireland team transferred from Santa Fe back to their base in Buenos Aires to prepare for the final game.
