Arsenal striker Emanuel Adebayor has signed a new long-term deal at the Emirates Stadium.

The Togo forward, 23, joined the Gunners from French club Monaco in the 2006 January transfer window and has impressed manager Arsene Wenger enough to earn an extended contract.

Adebayor has become a key part of Wenger’s plans, shouldering much of the side’s attacking burden in Thierry Henry’s recent absence through injury, scoring 16 goals in 57 appearances since joining the club.
