West Brom's Paul McShane will stay in the UK to prepare for his side's play-off final .
It's also been confirmed Anthony Stokes will be travelling despite his involvement with the Ireland U-19s in their Euro qualifying campaign.
Cork's Joe Gamble will fly out a day late so he can take part in City's clash with Bohemians tomorrow night, while Man United's John O'Shea will join up with the squad following Saturday's FA Cup Final.
Ireland face Ecuador in New York next Wednesday, and Bolivia three days later in Boston.
The Irish manager has lost many of the players he originally selected for the meetings.
“It would have been nice to have a stronger panel heading out to America but we’ve got to live with it,” said Staunton.
“I am looking at making one or two more additions but it’s difficult to get somebody else in at this point.”
