Johnson a doubt for Everton

Everton striker Andrew Johnson seems almost certain to be out of tomorrow’s lunch-time clash at home to Manchester United.

Johnson sprained an ankle last weekend at West Ham, and has had intensive treatment ever since, but has not trained this week.

Boss David Moyes is unwilling to make any decision on the player’s fitness until the morning of the match. He will again be without young strikers Victor Anichebe and James Vaughan.

On-loan keeper Tim Howard is ruled out because Manchester United is his parent club. Richard Wright will deputise.
