Inter crowned champions of Italy

Inter Milan retained their Serie A crown today after winning at Siena while nearest challengers Roma slipped up at Atalanta.

Two goals from former Everton centre-half Marco Materazzi were enough for Inter to earn a 2-1 win against a home side who had earlier drawn level through a Paolo Negro goal.
