Sunderland moved into second place in the Coca-Cola Championship with a 1-0 win over play-off contenders Cardiff at Ninian Park.

Roy Keane’s team climbed two points above Birmingham, who host Coventry tomorrow, thanks to a 72nd-minute free-kick from Ross Wallace which Bluebirds goalkeeper Neil Alexander fumbled over the line.
