Shamrock Rovers look to maintain their unbeaten start to the season when they take on Galway United at Tolka Park tonight, kick-off 8.00pm.

The sides are renewing their recent rivalry having met four times last season in the First Division where there was little between the two.

Rovers are without midfielder David Cassidy and centre-half Barry Ferguson who are both suspended.

"We should have a good few players available again," said Rovers boss Pat Scully.

"Ger O'Brien, Eric and Dave McGill, Tadhg Purcell and Ger Rowe are all back in contention.

"Aiden Price and Danny O'Connor are hopefully going to make it too. They were both injured against Longford and while Aiden should be okay there's a little more doubt about Danny."

Pat Scully was actually delighted last week's game with Bohemians was rescheduled.

"It was a godsend,'" he admitted.

"With Andy Myler also picking up a knock against Longford, we would've been down eight players against Bohs. Nine if you include Paul Shields.

"As it stands, both Andy and Paul will unfortunately be out for another couple of weeks. But other than that I'm just delighted to have so many players back and ready to play."

Galway are looking for their first win of the season having only taken one point from their opening three games.

Manager Tony Cousins has a full squad to choose from but might change the side's formation after narrowly losing last week.

Cousins remained positive despite seeing his side give away a last-gasp winner in their previous league game: "We can build on this, but it is a learning process for us. The simple reality is that you must defend set-pieces at this level or you will be punished.

"It is a horrible way to lose a game but once we get over the disappointment of that late goal, we can take the positives from the game and there were many of those."
