Cahill in contention for Villa

Central defender Gary Cahill is poised to return to the Aston Villa starting line-up for the Barclays Premiership clash with Arsenal – Villa’s first home match for five and a half weeks.

Cahill was axed for the 1-1 draw at Fulham 10 days ago but is likely to get a recall in place of ankle injury victim Martin Laursen although Liam Ridgewell could also come into contention.
