McCarthy pushing for Rovers return

Benni McCarthy is pushing for a recall to the Blackburn starting line-up at Bolton on Sunday.

The South African striker, who came off the bench to score the winner in the FA Cup replay against Arsenal in midweek, has been given an enforced rest by Rovers manager Mark Hughes for the last two games.

Meanwhile, Stephen Warnock has recovered from the illness that forced him to make an early departure against the Gunners.
