Jewell fuels Dowd debate

Wigan manager Paul Jewell has claimed a Barclays Premiership club have asked not to have controversial referee Phil Dowd in charge of their matches.

Jewell is facing a Football Association improper conduct charge for his rant at Dowd at Arsenal on February 11 and another charge is set to follow after his post-match comments to the media.
