With a busy programme on both the domestic and Champions League fronts looming, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger opted against even taking the insurance policy of naming the big name duo on the bench for the FA Cup fourth round replay.

Wenger did have most of his other senior men available though, while Bolton boss Sam Allardyce named Ivan Campo as replacement for virus victim Nicky Hunt at right-back as the Trotters looked to record their fourth straight home win over Arsenal and book a fifth round meeting with Blackburn.
