England's Johnson pulls out of Spain clash

Everton’s Andrew Johnson has pulled out of the England squad for Wednesday’s friendly with Spain at Old Trafford.

Johnson only returned to first team action with the Toffeemen in Saturday’s Merseyside derby draw at Liverpool but does not feel his ankle injury has healed sufficiently to allow him to play against Spain.
