Keane looks for Stern stuff

Sunderland are in talks with Coventry striker Stern John as manager Roy Keane attempts to add firepower to his promotion-chasing squad.

The Black Cats have agreed a deal with the midlands club and Keane is hopeful of making progress with the 30-year-old Trinidad and Tobago international today.

He said: “We agreed a deal over the weekend for Stern John and we are trying to finalise that today. We are looking for somebody with a physical presence up front.”
