Eriksson dismisses Marseille link

Sven-Goran Eriksson has denied reports he is set to become Marseille coach in the summer.

Reports last week suggested the former England manager has been in talks with the French club regarding his next job in management.

The rumours were further fuelled when Eriksson was spotted watching a training match between Marseille and Lazio in Dubai on Monday.

But the Swede has now denied there has been any contact between himself and the Mediterranean club.

“It was just rumours,” Eriksson told La Provence newspaper.

“I’m here (in Dubai) on holiday, that’s all. I haven’t even thought about going to Olympique Marseille.”
