Everton will have on-loan goalkeeper Tim Howard back in the squad for Sunday’s visit of West Ham after being ineligible to play against his parent club, Manchester United in midweek.

Richard Wright stepped in as understudy but will be back on the bench against the Hammers.

Everton will still be without Tim Cahill, who has a long-term knee ligament injury.

There is also a doubt over striker Andrew Johnson, who has missed the last two matches due to a hamstring problem.

Tony Hibbert, Alessandro Pistone, Paddy Boyle and Gary Naysmith are also still recovering from lengthy injuries.

Provisional squad: Howard, Yobo, Lescott, Stubbs, Weir, Valente, Arteta, Carsley, Osman, Davies, Neville, Beattie, McFadden, Vaughan, Anichebe, Wright, Van der Meyde.
