Savage back for Blackburn
Robbie Savage returned to the Blackburn team ahead of schedule for this Barclays Premiership game at Ewood Park.
The Welsh midfielder was back following a two-match absence after thinking he would be sidelined for a month with a thigh injury.
Stephane Henchoz, making his league debut in his second spell for the club, and Michael Gray replaced Zurab Khizanishvili and Lucas Neill.
Andre Ooijer captained Blackburn against a Tottenham side who were aiming to bounce back following the defeat by Reading – their first defeat in 11 games.
Head coach Martin Jol made four changes with Tom Huddlestone, Edgar Davids, Jermain Defoe and Mido replacing Aaron Lennon, Jermaine Jenas, Robbie Keane and Dimitar Berbatov.
