Bellamy returns for Reds

Middlesbrough v Liverpool

Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez restored Craig Bellmay to the starting line-up as his side looked to end their search for a first Barclays Premiership away win of the season at Middlesbrough.

The Welshman’s inclusion at the expense of Peter Crouch was one of three changes to the team which lost 3-0 at Arsenal last weekend as Daniel Agger replaced Sami Hyypia and Jermaine Pennant came in for former Boro midfielder Bolo Zenden.

Gareth Southgate made only two changes to his side, both of them because of injury.

England winger Stewart Downing missed out with a groin strain and was replaced by Julio Arca, while Lee Cattermole’s dead leg meant he was named only as a substitute with Jason Euell taking his place.
