Arsenal captain Thierry Henry was rested to the bench for this afternoon’s Barclays Premiership clash with Newcastle at the Emirates Stadium.

Manager Arsene Wenger had expressed concern over player burnout ahead of a crucial spell of games, the French striker having played a full 90 minutes for France in midweek.
