Rhasidat Adeleke made an impressive return to racing by breaking her Irish indoor 300m record at the Tyson Invitational in Arkansas today, clocking 36.30 seconds to finish second to Stacey Ann Williams of Jamaica (35.92), with Alexis Holmes of the US third in 36.46.

Adeleke's time broke the previous Irish record of 36.42 that she ran at the Millrose Games in New York two years ago. It was the 23-year-old Dubliner's first competitive outing since July last year, when she clocked 22.52 for 200m at the London Diamond League.
