Lawrence heads to Stoke

Sunderland winger Liam Lawrence has joined Coca-Cola Championship rivals Stoke on loan until January with a view to a permanent move.

The £175,000 (€250,000) signing from Mansfield in 2004 was part of the Black Cats team which won the Championship title in his first season at the Stadium of Light.
