Several concerns for Roeder

Newcastle boss Glenn Roeder will make late checks on several injured players ahead of the Barclays Premiership clash with Charlton.

Striker Obafemi Martins and midfielder Nicky Butt both limped out of Wednesday night’s 3-0 Carling Cup victory over Portsmouth with groin problems, while Turkish midfielder Emre (back) and striker Antoine Sibierski (bruised toe), missed out in midweek.
